Prostaglandin analogs for hair growth: great expectations.
by Wolf R, Matz H, Zalish M, Pollack A, Orion EDermatology online journal [electronic resource].
Article Abstract:
Latanoprost, a prostaglandin analog, has been reported to stimulate eyelash growth in patients using it in eye preparations for glaucoma and body and scalp hair growth when used topically in various animal models. Will prostaglandin analogs be the next agents used for forms of alopecia?

Split Face -- only one eyebrow
By: Anonymous - Thu 12/29/2005 AMIn the previous post, I was referring to alopecia areata with eyebrow involvement. I have not tried it for madarosis (loss of eyelashes), as I've not yet had the oportunity. However, for alopecia areata affecting the eyebrow, I have used it. In my small series of 4 patients - each of whom were treated only on one side for 4-6 weeks, all noticed improvement and elected to treat b/l.
